You know about quantum entanglement, right? The entangling of subatomic particles, such that, two related particles can be separated by any distance and if you do something to one of them, the other will be affected immediately regardless of distance.

As if you had two coffee mugs, left one on your table and sent the other one to, say, the other end of the universe. You pour coffee in the one you have here and the other gets warm at precisely the same time that you're pouring the coffee, even though nothing is happening to it.

So it can be with us, that when something happens to one of us, the rest of us are affected.

And all matter and energy was entangled to some degree at the beginning of the universe. So, in a dramatically oversimplified sense, we are all really, truly One in a way that is not metaphorical.

Science is cool.

@Hayden: Yes! (:

@Justin: We got the phrase "control paradigm" from The Paradigm Conspiracy by Denise Breton and Christopher Largent. We came up with "connection paradigm" ourselves. It makes me happy to see it spread. I think it's a very important perspective to have access to.

I like the phrase "control paradigm" contrasted with "connection paradigm." Excellent concise description. Which I'm now stealing. : P

It also reminds me that we each have different desires and talents. Different things which touch us deeply. Our greatest benefit and our greatest gifts come from that inner pool of inspiration. I'm glad you're inspired by better communication.
