Personally, if we were browsing a website and we read part of a book we liked, we’d buy the tree book instead of the e-book. Especially if the authors were (slowly) giving the e-book away for free.
Apparently, we made the usual error.
We received an email asking if the e-book version of The Usual Error was available for purchase, so we quickly Made It Happen behind the scenes and then replied “Yes!” But he had bought the e-book before we even had a chance to send the reply. (:

Yeah, we’re purposely not doing a Kindle version because we’d rather do the e-book sales through our own site. Also, once the entire e-book is available for free, we wouldn’t want Kindle buyers to feel ripped off at having paid for it.

I saw a copy of UE on one of the tables at Toastmasters this morning. I have no idea whose it was. It’s neat seeing it random places like that. ^_^

The book is awesome incredible. I am a proud owner of one of the first 100 copies (in orange) and I have to say it’s worth double the price you guys are asking. Really, really fine info. I’m rereading it. I think it’s one of those kinds of books.
I’m in the middle of too many projects now to write another review, but promise I will ASAP. Really.

This is awesome! I never in a million years would have believed this. Not in a million years. But very kewl. I wonder if the same might be true of Kindle sales too — an ebook is not as readable on your Kindle, ya know. Different formats for different folks. ?

While I usually prefer the tree books as well, Amazon and shipping to Europe is no great combination. I’m really happy you put the e-book up for sale and I bought it at once!
Now I can read it all at once without having to wait, ánd I can read it when there’s no internet presen! Yay. :)

The Usual Error book is also available from amazon.fr, amazon.de, and amazon.co.uk. If you’d prefer a tree book shipped from Europe, we can happily and easily refund the money you spent on the e-book. Just let us know!
Also, thanks for bringing it to our attention that we didn’t provide links for any sites other than amazon.com. I guess we made the usual error there too. (: I’ll go edit the site right now.

Did you talk to Amazon about making it available for the Kindle?
