The Freak Revolution Manifesto: Released Today!

by Pace and Kyeli on September 28th, 2009 @ 9:30 am in Connection Paradigm

Today, we release the Freak Revolution Manifesto.

This Manifesto is the heart and soul of the Freak Revolution. We poured ourselves into it. We wrote, tweaked, adjusted, agonized, and rephrased til we got it just right.

In it, we answer all the questions we’ve gotten so far about the Freak Revolution: why we’re doing this, what it means, what we want to accomplish, how we intend to accomplish it. Really, it’s about you; how you can improve your life and the lives of others, how you can find and create connection, and most importantly, how you can change the world.

It’s 100% free to download, 100% free to share, and 100% free of affiliate links; this is not a money-making document, this is a world-changing document.

Our goal is one million readers. With that many readers, we’ll be well on our way to changing the world! Our blog has quite a few readers, but not even close to a million – so one simple thing you can do right now to help is share this manifesto with anyone it will inspire. (You can download it for free.)

Together, we can change the world!

Have you read the Freak Revolution Manifesto? It tells the story of why there is so much hurt and sadness in the world, and how we can heal through connection.

Love the manifesto! I was already working on my own personal revolution, and the manifesto is the perfect kick in the ass to keep me on track.

Great job on the manifesto!

It’s very pretty. I love the design.

In general, I like the theme of questioning assumptions and making conscious decisions.

Love the quote from Heather Freeman about there not being only One True Way of doing things. I find I really have fight my inclination to look at things this this way, but it’s worth it.

I liked the section on personal empowerment — reminds me of Steve Pavlina! The points about treating yourself at least as well as you’d treat anyone else, eliminating the word “should,” and practicing having a strong opinion resonated with me.

I love the word “monkeysphere”! I’ve seen these ideas before about our ability to connect with only 100 or so people at a time, but I love your description and thoughts on diversification. Makes sense.

Completely agree about distancing yourself from people who’ll discourage you and drag you down with cynicism. Doing something awesome is already hard enough without having to fight negative energy all the time.

Anyway, thanks for putting in the work to create this. I enjoyed it.

For some reason your Manifesto made me think of the Republic of Užupis and its constitution…
