We are so glad you’re here! This is the starting point for you to become a member of the Freak Revolution!

What does that mean?

Being a member of the Freak Revolution means you become a part of the movement we’re mutually creating to inspire positive change in the world. It means you get to hang out with the other members, share ideas, have spirited discussions, and make connections. It means you get access to the Revolution Coffee House, our community-wide discussion list. It means you get a nifty membership card!

It means you are a part of this community – sharing, creating, and bonding together to create a world where we all want to be.

What are my responsibilities?

Be excellent to everyone else.

That’s it. We trust you to do that, and that covers anything else we’d want to require of a member anyway.

Seriously? No other obligations or requirements?

Seriously. We want you to partake in our community as much or as little as you feel called. Be aware that you generally get as much as you give, but there are no obligations, no requirements. Be excellent to each other, be here, and be yourself.

Is this the right place for me?

This is not the right place for you if you want a place to proselytize for your own cause.

This is not the right place for you if you like to get support but don’t want to be supportive.

This is not the right place for you if you’re younger than 18. (Sorry, freaky revolutionary minors! We love you; it’s because of stupid legal crap!)

This is not the right place for you if you’re looking to spread your political ideas.

This is not the right place for you if you get a kick out of flaming people.

This is not the right place for you if you just want another social network.

This is not the right place for you if you believe that the way to make the world better is to keep on doing what’s being done, only more and harder.

So, what makes this a good place for you?

We believe in changing the world through deeper connection with self and others.

If you do, too, then this is a good place for you.

Why is there an application process?

We understand how frustrating it feels to have a process in the way of awesome world-changing connections with awesome world-changing people. We decided on an application process as the easiest way to keep our community freak-friendly so we can share our revolutionary ideas without fear. Most of us have dealt with persecution or ostracization in our lives, and we won’t be having that here.

We process applications within 48 hours (if there are exceptions, we’ll be sure to let you know – we won’t leave you hanging). We appreciate you taking the time to work with us on this; we assure you, it makes the community more communal and friendly for all of us.
