In addition to the stuff we do over the phone, we also love to present in-person workshops on awesomeification, relationships, and communication. These 2-day weekend intensives are very sticky and a lot of fun! No, we won’t drench you in honey — unless you ask really nicely — we mean they’ll stick with you after the course, silly. (:
The weekend workshops begin at 10am and end at 6pm, on both Saturday and Sunday. We break for lunch at 1pm and resume at 2:30pm. No food or drinks are provided; we usually go out to a nearby restaurant, and you’re welcome to join us for food and chat.
What will I learn?
You’ll learn how to communicate with people who are different than you without slipping and falling into a big wet puddle of assumptions every time. (We’ve been there!) You’ll learn how to identify when an argument is really a conflict of interest and when it’s a “simple” miscommunication. (We’ve made that mistake what, a hundred times? Those simple miscommunications aren’t always so simple.) You’ll learn how to resolve conflict when it does happen, with compassion and with respect for your own needs. (We’ve fallen on both sides of that fence.) You’ll learn how simple rephrasings can pull you up out of a slump of negativity and help you be happier! (This has helped us a ton, though we still need reminding sometimes.)
We’ve failed at communication in a thousand different ways, and we’ve taken the most useful lessons we’ve learned and packed them into one glorious weekend, a celebration of authenticity and connection. Does that sound like oodles of fun to you? It sure does to us!
